Zhang Hejun is the chairman of Ningbo Deye Technology, a supplier of products ranging from inverters to solar air conditioners and water pump controllers. Zhang founded Deye in the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo in 1990. It went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2021 and has over 6,000 employees today. Deye's business partners include Midea, Haier, TCL and AUX. Zhang's son Dongye serves as company vice chairman and CEO; older son Dongbin is a director.
