About Me

Shrikant Badve is the founder and managing director of Pune-based automotive parts supplier Belrise Industries, which makes everything from shock absorbers to rearview mirrors for motorcycles, cars and commercial vehicles. The company's marquee clients include motorbike manufacturers Eicher, Hero Motocorp and TVS, as well as auto companies Jaguar Land Rover and Mahindra and Mahindra. Badve started out making fasteners in 1988 in a 150-square-foot shed with three machines and two workers. Belrise shares were listed in May 2025 at an 11% premium to the issue price. His wife Supriya sits on the board and his sons, Sumedh (a Harvard MBA) and Swastid (a Wharton graduate), lead business development and strategy respectively.
