About Me

Ngo Chi Dung is the chairman of VPBank, also known as Vietnam Prosperity Bank, one of the largest banks in Vietnam. The banking veteran served as vice chairman of rival Techcombank before joining VPBank in 2010. In 2021, VPBank sold a 49% stake in its consumer finance unit FE Credit to Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group for $1.4 billion. He holds a doctoral degree in economics from the Institute of Socio-Political Research under Russian Academy of Sciences. VPBank Securities, the bank's brokerage arm, went public in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025.
