Ken Fisher is executive chairman and co-chief investment officer of Fisher Investments, which he founded in 1979 with $250. The firm currently has more than $332 billion in assets under management. In January 2025, Fisher sold a minority stake in Fisher Investments at a $12.75 billion valuation to buyout firm Advent and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. In the summer of 1964, a 13-year-old Fisher earned $1.20 an hour picking fruit, sawing and fertilizing in his native San Mateo County, California. Fisher dropped out of high school "because it was a waste of time" and headed to college where he could "take better classes."
