Gloria Joseph is the ex-wife of George Joseph, the billionaire founder of Los Angeles-based insurance company Mercury General Corporation. She owns a 17% stake in Mercury, which she received when the couple divorced in 1985. The couple married in 1946 after George served in the Air Force during World War II. When George founded Mercury in 1961, Gloria was named vice president, and she served in that role until the couple divorced. She continued to sit on the company's board until 2003.
