Bhadresh Shah founded and runs AIA Engineering, a niche metallurgical company in Ahmedabad city. Shah started a small foundry in 1978 and parlayed it into a $490 million (revenue) company. AIA is the world's second largest manufacturer of high chromium grinding parts (by sales) for the cement, mining and power industries. Shah is a metallurgy engineer from the premier Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur). Shah also sits on the Board of Zydus Lifesciences, controlled by pharma billionaire Pankaj Patel.
